I had a scan yesterday and got to see the baby in 3d but it was so so far down in my pelvis that the sonographer struggled to get any decent pictures of the baby. She couldn't even measure its head it was that far down. No wonder that I've been so uncomfortable!
We saw the consultant who wanted to check I wasn't about to go into labour so sent us up to the delivery ward to have another fetal fibronectin test. Fortunately it was negative. If it had been positive we would have had a tour of the neonatal unit and I would have been admitted for monitoring and given steroid injections to mature the baby's lungs.
